Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese returns to Unrivaled for final 2 weeks of 3-on-3 league’s 2nd season
Angel Reese is Unrivaled once again.
The 3-on-3 league announced Wednesday morning that the Chicago Sky forward will return to play for Rose BC in the final two weeks of Unrivaled’s second season. Her teammates will be Shakira Austin, Chelsea Gray, Sug Sutton, Lexie Hull and former Sky star Kahleah Copper.
Reese is not listed as available for the league’s 1-on-1 tournament, which begins Wednesday night. Her first game will take place Feb. 20 against Hive (7:45 p.m., TNT and truTV). Rose is currently fifth in the standings at 5-6, a half-game behind Breeze for the final spot in the playoffs, which begin Feb. 28.
Unrivaled began preparing for Reese’s return earlier this week by moving Azurá Stevens from Rose to Hive in a four-team trade that also sent Courtney Williams from Vinyl to Breeze and Saniya Rivers from Hive to Vinyl. It was only the second trade in the brief history of the league, which has featured little in-season moving of players unless a need arises because of injury.
Reese typically moves at a nonstop pace, but she took a slightly more reserved approach to this WNBA offseason after finishing each of her first two seasons on the injury report, including a back injury that ended her 2025 season prematurely.
Her only official basketball activity of the offseason came during a three-day Team USA camp in December, Reese’s first invitation to a senior national team camp. She joined other first-time invitees such as Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark for the camp in Durham, N.C., under coach Kara Lawson. New Sky assistant coach Latricia Trammell also attended in a coaching capacity, allowing the Sky to touch base with their star player in person.
Returning to Unrivaled for this short runway will give Reese an opportunity to play herself into form for the WNBA season, currently scheduled to start for the Sky on May 9 with a road game against the expansion Portland Fire. Uncertainty still looms, however, due to an impending work stoppage amid collective bargaining agreement negotiations.
But regardless of the timing, this two-week stint will give Reese a chance to test her physicality in live game action — and maybe win some hardware in the process.

Canadian School Shooter Reportedly Identified As Transgender
Canadian School Shooter Reportedly Identified As Transgender
Ten people including the shooter are dead after an assailant opened fire at a high school in western Canada in the town of Tumbler Ridge on Tuesday in one of the country’s deadliest mass casualty events in recent history. Initial reports by local police and the Canadian media described the shooter as female.
However, the authorities reluctance to release the identity of the suspect was an immediate red flag. Their reports only indicated that the shooter was a female in a dress.
Independent journalists now say they have the identity of the alleged shooter, corroborated by family members: Jesse Strang, a 17-year-old biological male who started identifying as a “woman” in 2023, is reportedly the culprit behind the school massacre which left 10 dead and 25 wounded.
In an exclusive interview with “Juno News” Jesse Strang’s uncle, Russel G. Strang, confirms that Jesse was the shooter and that he identified as transgender.
Strang’s social media and YouTube accounts contain transgender symbolism as well as the online name “JessJessUwU” (a meme phrase that people may recognize from the bullet casings tied to the gay suspect charged in the assassination of Charlie Kirk, Tyler Robinson).

Locals in Tumbler Ridge also confirmed the shooter’s identity as Jesse Strang, as reported by the Western Standard, though his transgender status is not mentioned.
Before heading to the school, Strang allegedly murdered his mother and younger brother, both of whom were well known in the community.
The fact that Canadian authorities incorrectly asserted that the shooter was “female” led to initial confusion, but this action is essentially required according to Canada’s strict “hate speech” laws protecting trans identity. In other words, Canadian police are often compelled to lie about the gender of suspects when they are trans.
The tragedy represent yet more evidence that transgenderism is a dangerous mental health crisis. Multiple mass shootings (including school shootings) have been perpetrated by transgender suspects in recent years, and suspected Charlie Kirk shooter, Tyler Robinson, was living with his transgender boyfriend at the time of the shooting.
In almost every instance, the transgender status of the shooter has been covered up or dismissed by authorities and the establishment media.
In Canada, trans activists receive substantial legal privileges and protections making any discourse on the dangers of trans ideology impossible.

Bibi Seeks US Muscular Action On Iran In Seventh Meeting With Trump
Bibi Seeks US Muscular Action On Iran In Seventh Meeting With Trump
“I am now leaving for the United States for my seventh trip to meet with President Trump since he was elected for a second term,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said prior to his departure to Washington. “This, of course, does not include his unforgettable visit to Israel and his speech in the Knesset.” (Seven since Trump took office again!)
He and President Trump are expected to begin their meeting at the White House, focused on Iran negotiations and the possibility of military action, by late-morning (11 eastern). Netanyahu’s ‘welcome’ in D.C. last night raised some eyebrows, given an entire major freeway into the beltway area was shut down for security reasons…
They are literally shutting down highways for Netanyahu’s arrival in DC
— Drew Hernandez (@DrewHLive) February 11, 2026
Before leaving Israel, Netanyahu told reporters that Iran is the “first and foremost” issue he will raise with Trump. He was originally scheduled to travel to the US for a February 18 meeting, but Israel asked to move it up after the US-Iran talks in Oman.
“I will present the president with our views regarding the essential principles of the negotiations – principles that, in our eyes, are vital not only for Israel but for anyone in the world who desires peace and security in the Middle East,” the Israeli leader previewed.
Israel is pressing the US to require that any agreement with Iran include zero nuclear enrichment and limits on its ballistic missile program. Iranian officials have rejected those terms, signaling they would block any deal. On Tuesday, Trump indicated that Iran’s missiles should be part of the agreement.
But if Tehran were to agree with this it would essentially be self-destructing, as it would have no deterrent and be defenseless against any future Israeli attack – or any other enemy aggression for that matter.
One Israeli source told CNN that Tel Aviv is “worried about Iran’s progress in restoring its ballistic missile stockpiles and capabilities to its status before the 12-Day War.”
Iranian leaders are meanwhile fully aware of what Netanyahu’s D.C. trip represents, and the timing:
Tehran, which resumed talks with Washington last week in Oman, warned Monday of “destructive influences” on diplomacy ahead of the Israeli premier’s visit.
On Wednesday, Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian said his country would “not yield to excessive demands” on its nuclear program, though he said the country is not seeking an atomic weapon.
Just after Netanyahu’s arrival Tuesday evening, he met with US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and White House senior adviser Jared Kushner to discuss “regional issues”. He was also briefed on how Oman-mediated talks are going, ahead of the proposed second round expected next week.

President Trump is still threatening to send a second carrier group to the Central Command (CENTCOM) area, which would be a clear signal he intends major military action. He could still order some kind of limited action, also as Congress is once again missing in action on reigning in war powers.

Chicago Ridge freight train derailment closes roads, Metra service in south suburbs
A freight rain derailment early Wednesday morning in Chicago Ridge has blocked roadways and cut Metra commuter train service in the south suburbs.
Chicago Ridge police said the derailment between Ridgeland Avenue and Central Avenue has closed several major roadways and disrupted Metra train service. The train did not carry hazardous materials and there is no danger to the public, police said in a statement.
“Motorists should expect significant traffic congestion in the surrounding areas and are encouraged to use alternate routes whenever possible,” police said.
Ridgeland Avenue is closed between Southwest Highway and Washington Street, and Central Avenue is closed at the railroad tracks between 107th Street and Pleasant, police said.
Metra suspended all inbound and outbound trail on its Southwest Service line which extends from Union Station to Manhattan, including regular stops in Oak Lawn, Chicago Ridge, Worth, Palos Heights, Palos Park, Orland Park and New Lenox. Metra was asking customers to seek alternatives.

Attorney General Pam Bondi will face questions from Congress on Epstein and investigation of lawmakers
WASHINGTON — Attorney General Pam Bondi will face questions from lawmakers Wednesday over the Justice Department’s handling of files related to Jeffrey Epstein that have exposed sensitive private information about victims despite redaction efforts.
Bondi is confronting a new wave of criticism stemming from the political saga that has dogged her term after the release of millions of additional Epstein disclosures that victims have slammed as sloppy and incomplete.
It will be the first time the attorney general appears before Congress since a tumultuous hearing in October in which she repeatedly deflected questions and countered Democrats’ criticism of her actions with her own political attacks.
Beyond the Epstein case, Bondi’s appearance also follows a day after a federal grand jury declined to indict elected Democrats investigated by the Justice Department after they produced a video urging military service members not to follow illegal orders.
Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee are expected to grill Bondi on how the Justice Department decided what should and should not be made public under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was passed by Congress after the department abruptly announced in July that no more files would be released even though it had raised the hopes of conservative influencers and conspiracy theorists.
Bondi has continuously struggled to move past the backlash over her handling of the Epstein files since distributing binders to a group of social media influencers at the White House last February. The binders included no new revelations about Epstein, leading to even more calls from President Donald Trump’s base for the files to be released.
The hearing comes days after some lawmakers visited a Justice Department office to look through unredacted versions of the files. As part of an arrangement with the Justice Department, lawmakers were given access to the over 3 million released files in a reading room with four computers and were allowed to take handwritten notes.
Democrats have accused the Justice Department of redacting information that should have been made public, including information that could lead to scrutiny of Epstein’s associates. Meanwhile, victims have slammed the department for inconsistent or nonexistent redactions that allowed for the inadvertent release of nude photos and other private information about victims.
The department has defended the latest rollout of more than 3 million pages of documents along with more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images. The Associated Press and other media organizations are still reviewing millions of pages of documents, many of them previously confidential.
An AP review of records shows that while investigators collected ample proof that Epstein sexually abused underage girls, they found scant evidence the well-connected financier led a sex trafficking ring serving powerful men. Videos and photos seized from Epstein’s homes in New York, Florida and the Virgin Islands didn’t depict victims being abused or implicate anyone else in his crimes, a prosecutor wrote in one 2025 memo.
The case involving lawmakers’ video to military service members could provide additional fodder for Democrats to hammer Bondi and question how the Justice Department is using its investigative authority.
The video, featuring Democrats who are veterans or have experience in the intelligence community, angered the administration, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, in particular.
The Justice Department opened an investigation into the video in which Democratic Sens. Mark Kelly of Arizona and Elissa Slotkin of Michigan, along with four other Democrats, urged U.S. service members to follow established military protocols and reject orders they believe to be unlawful.
A grand jury in Washington on Tuesday declined to issue any indictments. It wasn’t immediately clear whether prosecutors had sought indictments against all six lawmakers or what charge or charges prosecutors attempted to bring. But it marked the latest instance of a grand jury rebuffing the Justice Department in cases involving critics of the Trump administration.

A run of ‘bad luck’ doesn’t stop Mundelein’s Ethan Banda. Persevering, he stacks the odds in his favor.
Mundelein senior wrestler Ethan Banda is ready for some good fortune.
Last season, Banda experienced very little. After his first tournament, he was sidelined for six weeks with a vertebral fracture. Then he overcame an illness to reach the Class 3A Barrington Sectional championship match at 144 pounds, only to be diagnosed with bronchitis before the state meet, where he lost both of his matches.
“It was very disappointing for me because it was one thing after another last season,” Banda said. “I did horrible at state. I was probably at 50% or below. I was gagging and throwing up. It was bad.
“I learned to just keep working and put my head down and that something good would come out of it.”
Healthy this season, Banda (33-5) has enjoyed a smooth ride to the 3A Barrington Sectional, where he’ll compete at 157 pounds on Friday. He has surpassed 100 career victories — which include 18 pins, nine technical falls and two major decisions this season — and won his third regional title on Jan. 31.
“I’ve only lost to ranked people, but I know I have the capabilities to beat them,” Banda said. “I’ve improved over the season and been lucky with no injuries.”

Mundelein wrestling coach Craig Stocker said Banda showed fortitude to get to this point.
“Ethan ran into some bad luck last year,” Stocker said. “He’s come back with a great senior season and put himself in a great position to be a state qualifier and possibly get on the podium. He worked his tail off and put in a lot of time in the offseason to getting better.
“It’s definitely not easy being a high school kid who has your season taken away. But he persevered and is mentally and physically motivated. It’s a testament to his work ethic.”
Indeed, Mundelein senior 165-pounder Michael Vincic said Banda did the work to put himself in this position.
“Ethan’s always practicing new techniques, and he even does double practices every week at his club,” Vincic said. “Watching him have his injury last year was tough because I saw all the work that he was putting into wrestling.
“It was the same with him getting sick right before state. That was pretty rough to watch, but I know that he’s going to do great this year. I can’t wait to watch him wrestle.”
Mundelein senior 175-pounder Danny Hernandez, Banda’s training partner, has learned firsthand what makes Banda so successful on the mat.
“Ethan’s ability to flow from move to move and constantly score points is what makes him such a talented wrestler,” Hernandez said. “He’s very persistent with his want to score points and will wrestle any style against any opponent.”

Banda intends to do whatever it takes.
“I feel very prepared, especially against the kids in my bracket, and know I’m capable of beating them,” he said. “I just have to wrestle smart.”
Win or lose, Banda has learned something about himself.
“I didn’t realize how much I could go through and yet still keep pushing and bettering myself,” he said. “I was really down in the dumps, but I came back strong.”

‘Across-The-Board’ Strong Jobs Report… But Take It “With A Grain Of Salt”
‘Across-The-Board’ Strong Jobs Report… But Take It “With A Grain Of Salt”
Via Academy Securities’ Peter Tchir,
There is almost nothing to nitpick about this report (though we do have some caveats).
Big beat on jobs 130k vs 65k expected. Private jobs crushed it, adding 172k (yes, public sector jobs shrank).
Downward revision for prior 2 reports was “only” -17k.
The benchmark revisions were -862k.
A big number but -825k was baked in, so kind of a rounding error at this stage on “old” data.
Unemployment rate dropped to 4.3%.
Not only did the household survey add 528k jobs, but we got this drop even while labor participation INCREASED to 62.5% – a very healthy shift in unemployment.
The birth/death model showed job losses of 69k.
Since I do think birth/death had an outsized influence on the revisions it is good to see a negative number here. It gives me more confidence in the print.
What is there to complain about?
NSA (not seasonally adjusted) had a drop of 2,649,000 jobs.
We have been complaining (for years) that the seasonal adjustments have a lot of issues and this year’s might be worse than usual in that respect
We still add a lot of jobs in winter and take them away in summer, because that is how the weather worked (slowing in the Northeast), but we no longer believe that is accurate as so much construction has moved to the South.
It adds back a lot of jobs that were added for the holidays. It is unclear how many jobs were really added for the holidays. It does not help that the government shutdown(s) has made the data even less reliable than usual.
In 2025 the largest downward revision was in February where they took away 167k from the prior 2 reports.
These two factors are why I will take this payroll data with a “grain of salt”.
The market has immediately priced in a more hawkish Fed with rate-cut expectations tumbling.

Glenview Zoning Board OKs plan for four ‘light industrial’ buildings with 53 truck docks
Revised plans for a new industrial development along I-294 in Glenview are headed to the Village Board for a vote amid opposition from nearby residents.
The Glenview Development Commission on Jan. 28 unanimously recommended approval of new zoning and a development plan to construct four “light industrial” buildings on 29 acres of land at 2211-2305 Sanders Road. The site consists of a vacant 5-story office building, a vacant 10-story office building and parking areas previously part of the CVS Health corporate campus, and undeveloped land belonging to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Developer Scott Gibbel had initially presented plans for three buildings on the site, but, following mixed reviews from commissioners at a meeting in December, the proposal was revised, with a 218,700 square-foot structure divided into two separate buildings. The total square footage of all buildings on the site was also reduced by 12,500 square-feet, the maximum building height was reduced from 46 feet to 40 feet, and plans for landscaping were enhanced, Gibbel told the commission.
The maximum height allowed under the village code is 36 feet.
The property will consist of 53 potential truck docks and generate approximately 519 daily vehicle trips, said Doug Hammel, deputy director of community development for the village of Glenview.
“We believe this 29-acre site represents a vital economic opportunity for the village, one that will generate significant tax revenue and high-quality jobs,” Gibbel told the commission.

The Glenview Village Board could consider the development at its next meeting, scheduled for Feb. 17.
Gibbel told the commission that the buildings will house only “clean, light industrial” tenants, including manufacturing, construction and trade businesses; wholesale distribution and retail fulfillment; home improvement suppliers; and showroom and sales oriented tenants.
Data centers, waste and recycling centers, public utility facilities, sexually oriented businesses and “intensive logistics and transportation” businesses would not be allowed, Gibbel said.
Under Glenview’s Municipal Code, the zoning classification requested for the site, known as I-2, permits warehouses; manufacturing, packaging, processing and fulfillment facilities; delivery and distribution businesses; and repair services, among other uses. The Willow Road Corridor Plan, adopted in 1990 and amended several times in the years since, calls for office structures or “clean and light industrial” developments for the Sanders Road properties, according to village officials.
Developer Scott Gibbel addresses the Glenview Development Commission on Jan. 28, 2026 at Glenview Village Hall.(Jennifer Johnson/for Pioneer Press)
The Glenview Development Commission did not vote to place specific restrictions on usage when it voted on its motion to recommend approval of the project. Village Attorney Kurt Asprooth said village staff will ultimately interpret what classifies as “clean, industrial use” and if it meets the parameters of I-2 zoning and the Willow Road Corridor Plan.
Commissioners appeared to agree that if this development is approved by the Village Board, data centers would not be permitted.
But nearby residents have expressed concerns about potential uses of the site, as no specific tenants have yet been identified. During the commission’s Jan. 28 meeting, about a dozen residents voiced opposition to the development, suggesting it will generate unwanted truck traffic and noise and lower property values.
“We do not need 53 more (truck bays) in a largely residential area,” said Jan Zorn, president of the Timberlane Estates Homeowners Association in nearby Northbrook. “Please consider the impact this development will have on the people living in the area.”
Only two speakers voiced support for the project.
“I think this is a great opportunity for Glenview,” said Tom Curtis, a real estate broker. “This development will add value to the community in the next few years, as opposed to letting two office buildings stay vacant and decay.”
