Chicago police opened a death investigation after a 52-year-old man was pulled from the Chicago River Saturday morning in the Lincoln Square neighborhood.
Shortly before 7:30 a.m., officers responded to a marine distress call in the 5200 block of North Virginia Avenue. Chicago firefighters pulled the unresponsive man from the river and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A death investigation was launched pending autopsy results Saturday afternoon, police said.
