Azaria cancels EZ Street Band concert at Hemmens
The Hank Azaria & The EZ Street Band concert scheduled for Saturday, March 28, at The Hemmens Cultural Center in Elgin has been canceled.
Azaria’s publicist Seth Cohen said in an email Wednesday that the cancellation was due to an unexpected scheduling conflict.
An Emmy Award-winning actor, Azaria voices several characters on “The Simpsons,” including Police Chief Wiggum, barkeep Mo Szylak and snobby nerd Comic Book Guy on “The Simpsons,” and has appeared in such television shows as “Brockmire,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “Ray Donovan,” and “Friends” and movies that include “The Birdcage,” “Godzilla” and “Night at the Museum.”
Azaria has said his EZ Street shows are theatrical performances where he stays in character as Bruce Springsteen, singing Springsteen’s songs but telling stories about himself.
Hemmens programming director Anthony Lentino said anyone who has purchased tickets should call 847-931-5900 for details about getting a refund.
