Double-doubles from Hannah Hidalgo and Cassandre Prosper fuel No. 19 Notre Dame’s 97-48 rout of Morehead State

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Hannah Hidalgo scored 24 points, Cassandre Prosper added 20 and No. 19 Notre Dame cruised to a 97-48 victory over Morehead State on Thursday night.

The Fighting Irish (7-2) led 20-8 after one quarter, 40-17 at the half and 66-26 after three quarters. Hidalgo, who also grabbed 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season, fueled a 15-0 second-half run with eight points during the stretch.

Vannessa de Jesus also scored 16 points for Notre Dame, Prosper added 13 boards and the Irish shot 47% (35 of 74) from the field.

Kate Dike’s 11 points led Morehead State (4-5). The Eagles scored 22 points in the fourth quarter, making 7 of 8 shots from the field in the last 5:16 of the game.
