Chicago Ridge man, 59, killed in ‘domestic-related event,’ police say

Mohammad Qouqazeh, 59, was killed in Chicago Ridge early Monday morning in what police called an “isolated, domestic-related event.”

The Chicago Ridge Police Department said a suspect was in custody and charges were pending.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office’s listed Qouqazeh’s cause of death as assault resulting in multiple injuries.

Police said officers responded to a report of an unresponsive person at 4:30 a.m. Monday on the 10500 block of South Austin Avenue, and emergency responders determined Qouqazeh to be dead at the scene.
