A 31-year-old woman was ejected from the car she was travelling in and killed early Monday after it crashed into two vehicles in Avondale.
Two women were riding westbound in a black sedan when the driver, also 31, lost control of the car and crashed into an unoccupied parked vehicle at around 1:30 am on the 3800 block of West Diversey Ave, according to Chicago police.
The sedan then veered across the road near Kosciuszko (Thadeuz) Park and hit the back-end of a semi-truck going eastbound, ejecting the 31-year-old passenger who was pronounced dead on-scene, police said.
The driver was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and is listed in good condition.
The semi-truck driver was not injured and there were no further injuries reported.
Police said citations are pending.
