ROBBERY ATTEMPT: A male teen with a gun fled in a car after attempting to rob a store in the 700 block of Indiana Avenue Dec. 19, police said.
Bridgeview
AWAITING EXTRADITION: A Sauk Village man was in Cook County Jail Dec. 24 awaiting extradition on federal and local charges for armed robberies that occurred in the Philadelphia area, according to sheriff’s police and jail records online. Sean Favors, 36, 22100 block of Luella Court, was arrested Dec. 11 in the 9900 block of Industrial Drive in Bridgeview by the Cook County sheriff’s fugitive apprehension unit and the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, sheriff’s police said. Favors pleaded guilty in 2015 to inflicting serious injury during a robbery in connection with the 2013 home invasion of an elderly suburban Philadelphia couple’s residence, according to Montgomery County, Pennsylvania court records online.
Burbank
BURGLARY CHARGE: Separino T. Valencia, 34, Maywood, was arrested Dec. 2 on a charge of burglary in connection with a June 2023 break-in at an appliance repair store in the 5600 block of 79th Street and removal of a dozen cellphones, two laptop computers and a gaming desktop computer with a total value of $50,100, police said. The 18-month investigation involved police departments in Lockport, Skokie, Las Vegas and Miamisburg, Ohio, police said.
Evergreen Park
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Kou P. Quetee, 39, 8700 block of Utica Avenue, Evergreen Park, was arrested Nov. 19 and accused of aggravated assault after officers recovered an unloaded 9 mm handgun from her purse and two loaded magazines from the vehicle while investigating a report of a motorist brandishing a gun at another motorist in the 2500 block of 87th Street, police said. Illinois State Police also revoked Quetee’s gun permit in response to officers’ clear and present danger complaint, police said.
Homewood
CHILD BATTERY: Carla Johnson, 44, 500 block of Clyde Avenue, Calumet City, was arrested Nov. 10 and accused of battery in connection with striking a child in the head multiple times with an open hand Oct. 27 while working at a day care in the 1800 block of Ridge Road, police said.
New Lenox
UNDERRINGING ALLEGED: Grazine Tilvikaite-Johnson, 40, 1600 block of Pine Grove Lane, New Lenox, was arrested Dec. 16 and accused of retail theft at a department store in the 2300 block of East Lincoln Highway after using bar codes from lower priced items to purchase higher value merchandise totaling $563.35 at the self-checkout register Dec. 2, 6, 11, 13 and 16, police said.
Orland Park
DUI CRASH: Richard E. Fredrick, 20, 11500 block of Lake Shore Drive, Orland Park, was charged with drunken driving, failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision, improper lane use and failing to provide proof of insurance in connection with a Nov. 20 single-vehicle crash in the 10700 block of 183rd Street, police said.
DUI CRASH: Robert T. Wojtun, 49, 15100 block of Orlan Brook Drive, Orland Park, was charged with drunken driving in connection with a Nov. 24 collision involving another vehicle and mailbox in the 9000 block of Sunrise Lane, police said.
Palos Hills
UNRESPONSIVE DRIVER: A Gary Indiana, motorist found slumped over the steering wheel Dec. 14 in the 10300 block of Roberts Road is scheduled to appear in Cook County court at Bridgeview Dec. 29, charged with unlawfully possessing a controlled substance and driving under the influence of drugs, according to police and court records online. Trevor A. Keller, 33, had less than 30 grams of a black market prescription tranquilizer, court records show.
Park Forest
KNIFE ASSAULT: Trenton Williams, 28, 3400 block of Western Avenue, Park Forest, was arrested Nov. 28 and accused of aggravated assault after threatening another person with two steak knives, police said.
GUN POSSESSION: Kenyon O. Givens, 25, 900 block of Patricia Lane, Crete, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after officers recovered a loaded 9 mm pistol and loaded extended magazine during a Dec. 11 stop in the 200 block of Allegheny Street for driving on a revoked driver’s license, speeding and expired registration, police said.
Will County
DOMESTIC: Jose S. Herrera, 52, unincorporated Beecher, was scheduled to appear in Will County court Dec. 24, charged with aggravated domestic battery and interfering with a domestic violence report Dec. 6 in the 30000 block of Klemme Road, according to police and court records online.
DOMESTIC: Carl Henry, 53, Willowbrook subdivision, unincorporated Crete, is scheduled to appear in Will County court Dec. 31, charged with aggravated domestic battery Dec. 7 in the 24300 block of Forestview Court, according to sheriff’s police and court records online.
ROBBERY CHARGED: A Frankfort area man accused of holding up a gas station at Lincoln Highway and Frankfort Square Road while wearing a ski mask and brandishing a knife is scheduled to appear in Will County court Jan. 8, charged with armed robbery, according to sheriff’s police and court records online. Deputies arrested Sufyan Farhan, 27, 20700 block of Birchwood Lane, with a large amount of cash in the women’s restroom of a fast food restaurant at Lincoln Highway and Harlem Avenue and also recovered his jacket and knife from a nearby field, sheriff’s police said.
